Jay & Co Collab

Simion kicked off 2022 working on a collaboration with one of his creative partners in crime Jay Blades. You may recognise Jay & Co’s Jay Blades from the BBCs popular show The Repair Shop. This was a fantastic project to start the year with, tantalising Simion’s creative tastebuds for the months ahead.

Below you can see the sofa before its transformation and I think you’ll agree it was in need of some TLC. One thing that brings an Ercol sofa bang up to date is by replacing the three seat and back cushions with one long base cushion, and two back cushions. This gives a modern edge - making both the beautiful original Ercol frame and the bold fabric shine.

We teamed various shades of grey wool with Timorous Beasties ‘Omni Splat’ fabric, but the best bit is that the cushions are reversible meaning you get four looks in one.
